The story of our trip to The Midwest

Day 5 of 10
Day 5 saw us heading to Yellowstone National Park. We reached Grant Village in Yellowstone around noon and went straight to check in to our room in the Xanterra Parks & Resorts which is the primary concessionaire in Yellowstone. After having done that and getting the maps and advices from the park rangers we drove down to the west entrance at Madison. We roamed around the town a bit. We worked our way back stopping at every lookout and Geyser. We stopped at Firehole canyon Drive, Lower Geyser Basin, Fountain Paint pot, Great Fountain Geyser, Grand Prismatic Spring, Midway Geyser Basin, Upper Geyser Basin, Biscuit Basin, Black Sand Basin and finally the world famous Old Faithful , before heading back to Grant village to retire for the night.

Day 6 of 10
On Day 6 we left bright and early for wildlife viewing and this time we went towards the East Entrance. We stopped at the West Thumb Geyser Basin besides a few other Geyser basins off of the Yellowstone Lake which is at an elevation of 7733ft above sea level. En route we saw herds of Bison. From this point we decided to go up to Canyon Village, Norris and Madison before dropping down to Old Faithful and back to Grant Village. This concluded our trip around the lower loop in the figure 8 which is how we would best describe the loop road in Yellowstone.
